Do I need a license? Yes, if you don't have a current Utah Fishing License you must purchase a one-day fly fishing license before the trip at www.wildlife.utah.gov

What equipment do I need to bring for fly fishing trips? All equipment (waders, boots, rods, and flies) are included. Make sure to dress according to weather conditions. Things to bring: hat, sunscreen, sunglasses (polarized if possible), camera, and a great attitude! Fish can sense a negative vibe, no kiddin'!

Are meals provided for fishing trips? Lunch is provided for Full Day trips! Water and snacks are provided for Half Day trips.

What is the age requiment? All guests must be at least 8 yrs old. 

Can my child go alone? All kids under 16 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult. 

Can we ride double? Only one rider per horse is allowed. 

Will there be a lesson? Yes, each ride will begin with a short lesson so you know what to expect. 

Is there a weight limit? It is required of all riders to be able to mount and dismount their horse without assistance. We do have a step stool! As a general rule of thumb, all riders should have the balance, stamina, and capability to easily go on the ride. 

What time should we arrive? Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled reservation time. This allows enough time to get you checked in and have the lesson before the ride actually begins. 

Rocky Mountain Outfitters has a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel a reservation you must contact our office at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled reservation. If you fail to cancel before 72 hours, you are subject to 100 percent of the charge for your reservation. This includes reservations that are scheduled within the 72 hour window. Rescheduled rides are not eligible for cancelation. For questions about this, please contact our office.

Where are the rides located? We are at the Jordanelle State Park! Please check your confirmation email for the address and directions. 

What is pulling the wagon? Percheron draft horses! They are bred to pull and work so this is their favorite time of year. With all their hair they stay very warm!

How long is the ride? Approx 20 minutes, but some horses walk a little faster or a little slower. 

Can we bring blankets? Yes, please do! 

Will there be concessions? Yes! We will have s'more packets, hot chocolate, and hot cider available for purchase. 

Will Santa be there? Santa will be making guest appearances, most likely on Saturday's!

Do I need to be early? Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled reservation time. 

Can I cancel? All ticket sales are final, regardless of weather conditions. You are more than welcome to give your tickets to someone else, though!
