Sleigh Rides at the Homestead Resort

Enjoy a unique, historic, and memorable experience on a horse drawn buggy or sleigh ride around the Homestead Resort, one of Utah's oldest running resorts. Homestead sits nestled in the beautiful Heber Valley outside the small town of Midway, located about 20 minutes from Park City. Our beautiful teams of clydesdales, belgians, and spotted draft horses will pull you through a nice scenic view of Heber Valley as well as breathtaking views of the Wasatch Mountains. We have buggies, wagons, and sleighs to accommodate groups of all sizes.
Private Two Person Sleigh Ride is $75 per couple
Enjoy a romantic and scenic ride around the historic Homestead Resort in Midway, UT
Private Up to Six person sleigh ride is $25 per person.
Private Seven to Twelve person sleigh is $25 per person.
We have several large sleighs and can accomodate large groups. Please call 435-654-1655
Large group discounts are available.
Sleigh Rides run from 3:15pm to 8:30pm.
Daytime Sleigh Rides are also available. Please call to inquire. 435-654-1655.
Things to remember when making a buggy/sleigh ride reservation:
- All rides are PRIVATE, this means only your party will be on a sleigh.
- Children 3 years old and under may ride at no cost and do not need a ticket.
- Warm wool blankets are provided in cold weather.
Sleighs are used in place of buggies/wagons WEATHER PERMITTING. There is no guarantee that conditions will be suitable for a sleigh.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled ride.
Until sufficient snow for skis, we will be operating in Soldoier Hollow instead of the Homstead Resort. If you are booking a ride in December, please note that your sleigh ride location may chance depedning on the weather. Our office staff will contact you the day of your ride to notify you of any chances.
Ice Castle and Sleigh Rides at Homestead Resort
Enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride and the spectacular views of the Heber Valley and a magical visit to the Midway Ice Castle. You will take a horse drawn sleigh from the Homstead Resort up to the Ice Castle. These castles are made of thousands and thousands of icicles and are truly something to behold and admire. Make sure and bring your camera; amazing photos are waiting to be had. We will drop you off at the Ice Castles for a magical winter experience. Skip the lines by arriving at the Ice Castle on our sleigh, and take as much time as you need to explore inside the the castle's walls and tunnels.

Add Ice Castle Tickets to any Private Sleigh Ride for an additional fee
3 and under are free and do not need a ticket
All prices include a horse drawn sleigh ride and entry to the ice castle.
This is for the group sleigh ride which is shared with other people. Group sleighs seat up to 12 people.
We do not need reservations for 3 and under.
Sleigh ride is approximately 20 minutes.

Private Sleigh Rides to the Ice Castles
You may also book a private sleigh ride to the Ice Castles. To do this, click on Private Sleigh Rides and add ice castle tickest to your private ride. Ticket prices are $15 for adults (ages 12 and up) and $12 for children (ages 4-11). Children 3 and under are free and do not need tickets. Ice Castle ticket add-ons will be available for online purchase starting January 1st.

SANTA SLEIGH RIDE at SOLDIER HOLLOW (Nov 30th -Dec 22nd)
Beginning November 30th thru December 22nd. You can bring your family and go for a horse drawn ride to see Santa Claus himself. Rides begin at 2:30 in the afternoon and run till 8:00 at night. All Santa Sleighs are group rides. See above for private sleigh information. In case of inclimate weather or lack of snow, sleighs will be swapped for horse drawn wagons instead. Large private sleighs are also available, sleighs can seat up to 12-14 people.
