Utah Fly Fishing Waters

Utah offers an incredible array of quality blue ribbon waters.  Here are a few of the options that we spend time on fishing, learning, and getting to know.  We want you to experience the best fishing available and spend hours upon hours so that we are ready for you.

Spring is in full swing.  The fishing on the Provo is Hot.  Hit the water and chase after some big feisty rainbows and browns that are very active.  You can cast a dry or bounce a nymph across the bottom there is plenty of action for whatever you want to try.  The blue wings and midges are coming off strong and fish are up on top slurping up all they can.  It doesn't get any better.

Provo River (Lower)

This stretch of water flows below the Deer Creek Reservoir and hosts some of the best fly fishing in the world.  The lower section runs through Provo Canyon that has breathtaking views of the towering Wasatch mountains above.  The river winds its way down the canyon providing unmatched fly fishing.  It is estimated to hold about 3500 fish per river mile which provides ample opportunity to catch fish and not just go fishing.  Seldom is the day of going home without netting fish.  This stretch of water is home to Wild Brown Trout, Rainbow, and Cutthroat with the average size fish somewhere between 16-20 inches. Once you hook into one of these fat healthy fish the real challenge begins. It then becomes a game of tug a war as you give a little then the fish then you until at the end your smiling with a big fat trout on some of the best blue ribbon fishing in the world.

Let our ORVIS endorsed staff of guides help you truly experience some of the finest fly fishing in the state.  Give us a call or email and we will set you up with some of the best, most personable and friendly guides in the state or anywhere.  These guides spend countless hours fishing, learning, and studying the waters we fish.  They know this river intimately and will share all their secrets (maybe not all) providing you ample opportunity to land some incredible fish.  They will provide you with everything needed rod, waders, boots, and most importantly their own hand tied flies that have been specially tweaked for the fish on this water.

This stretch of water is a stones throw from some world class lodging, restaurants, and is only 45 minutes from the Salt Lake airport and only 30 minutes from Park City.  Our goal is simple we want you to become a lifelong friend and client.  We want to share this incredible fishery with you and have you daydreaming for the next chance you will get to come out and fish the Provo River.  Give us a call and we can assist in putting a fly fishing trip in Utah that will be unmatched.

Provo River (Middle)

This stretch of water runs through a beautiful mountain valley.  Flowing below the Jordanelle Reservoir through the Heber Valley down to Deer Creek Reservoir.  This stretch of water makes host to some of the best dry fly fishing action anywhere.  This stretch offers some of the best dry fly fishing available.  Where do you think we fish on our days off?  With several different hatches throughout the season you can come hit this water at different times of the season and have chance after chance catching some of the biggest fattest browns and rainbows you can imagine.
